Non-Brush, Monochromatic, Emotion Painting Reflection. 4/16/13
1. The good strong parts of my violet painting are the shading and the mixture of color because it makes it look 3-D.
2. I don't think i could have done anything better because i like it the way it is.
3. The theme of my painting is a tombstone which symbolized saddness but yet a warm feeling of emotion because a graveyard makes you feel sad.
4. The monochromatic color of my project is violet. i selected that color because i thought it would be a good color to represent saddness. it creates the theme because i have black and violet which made it get that feeling of saddness.
5. My painting is on canvas beause i wanted it to be on canvas. i used a scrapping knife and my fingers to apply the paint because it seemed easy. it was very hard but you had to make sure you were spreading the paint in the right spot and you had the right shading.
6. i learned that you can use any tool to create a great piece of painting.
7. first i drew out my design, then painted the background first and the foreground second. it was planned. i decided on my design first then what materials i was gonna use. i would say that the shading changed as i went along.
8. I think this was a worthwhile project because it was fun. I think Mr. Purdy should seperate them with a monochromatic painting then a non brush painting because it was sort of a challenge.
